In an effort to welcome back students and get them in the mood for the fall 2009 semester, Recreational Sports threw a block party with a renaissance theme on Saturday, August 22 from 7-10 p.m. Some of the activites that were included in the celebration were archery, arts and crafts, as well as having the opportunity to make a cast of an individual’s hand out of wax. Attendees even had the opportunity to arm wrestle, joust, and take part in a derby horse race as well. The celebration is thrown to welcome back students at the beginning of every fall semester.
