The Heatwave Media and Film Festival, which takes place every spring semester, officially kicked off with Monday’s opening ceremony.
The festival, which this year will be running from April 28 to May 1 at both the LSC Theater and the Old Town Theater in downtown Huntsville, welcomes all types of media, such as short films, music videos and even animation. The festival is open to anyone currently enrolled at SHSU, all Texas Independent filmmakers, Texas college students and Texas high school students.
