A hit-and-run incident on Tuesday left one student clipped but uninjured, according to Sam Houston State University Police Department.
An unnamed student was crossing the street between the Health and Kinesiology Center and Bower’s Stadium at approximately 12:30 p.m. when a vehicle struck his side, according to first responder Officer Kevin Hansford of UPD
The driver fled the scene without addressing the accident, Hansford said. The student refused medical attention and “did not seem to be in any discomfort.”
The victim identified the vehicle as a blue car being driven by a young female, leading police to search the area for any clues as to the alleged perpetrator’s identity.
The driver has not been identified and any persons with information are encouraged to speak with law enforcement officials.
