Over the weekend, visitors and residents enjoyed the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce’s 46th annual Fair on the Square in downtown Huntsville. The event hosted 400 local businesses, organizations, churches, political campaigns and clubs through booths and activities. Adults got to participate in the Wine Knot wine tasting while children played at the Kid’s Korner. A wide range of bands also performed in the Beer Garden during the Pre-Fair on the Square Concert and Battle of the Bands.
Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce hosted the 46th annual Fair on the Square on Oct. 3. The Fair on the Square was one of the few events not canceled due to COVID-19.
Over the weekend, visitors of the Fair on the Square packed the streets in downtown Huntsville. Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce asked people to wear masks and try to practice social distancing at the event.
Local business, like Moni Love Designs, set up their booths this weekend for visitors to peruse and shop. The event had 400 vendors for people to enjoy and spend at their will.
The Wine Knot attraction offered visitors the chance to have some delicious wines, a complimentary wine glass and food for $15. The wine samplings were sourced from local wineries near Huntsville.
The Fair on the Square’s food court presented local cuisine from around Huntsville with booths like New Life BBQ. Visitors got to enjoy food and music while taking a break from walking around downtown Huntsville.
On Friday night, Folk Family Revival played at the Pre-Fair concert with lead singer, Mason Lankford. The Texas-based family band work on writing and composing their own music.
Alysa Carrizales competed in the Battle of the Bands located at the Beer Garden on Saturday. Carrizales placed third amongst the five bands participating at the battle and won $100.
