The National Weather Service office in Houston has issued a Freeze Warning from 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, as a light freeze is expected tonight and into the morning for the area.
Temperatures are expected to drop right around freezing Monday night in Huntsville, or slightly below for a brief period. Freeze Warnings are typically issued during late-season freezes like this one. Considering the very warm temperatures we’ve experienced the last week or two, the landscape is already showing hints of green as we officially enter spring later in the week, and many have begun to plant crops, flowers and plants.
The wind is expected to settle by Tuesday, but prepare for cold conditions in the morning. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 60s on Tuesday afternoon. We’ll be back in the 80s by midweek, and the forecast looks dry.
