The Sam Houston women’s basketball team (2-1) won its third game of the season 78-44 against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions (1-2) on Wednesday.
The Bearkats’ field goal percentage was improved to 43.3% from their first game of 33.3% from the field. The Bearkats made 29 out of 67 shots that were taken.
The Bearkats scored 32 points off turnovers and had 20 steals this game. Out of the 20 steals, Fanta Kone had eight of them, which is a new career-high.
Wednesday’s game had three players going for double-digit points. Nyla Inmon led the team with 20 points, while Fanta Kone had 17 points and Whitney Dunn had 12 points.
